At State Convention on April 22, can I count on your support for Bernie Delegate for the Democratic National Convention, Congressional District 4 or At Large?
The GOP National Committee has declared war on one of the most vulnerable populations in this country, people who are at increased risk of social rejection (a condition that kills) simply for being themselves, who are seeking safety and the right to pee in peace. This should not be an issue. In states like North Carolina, they have already acted on that policy, endangering transgender women of assault, by forcing them into male bathrooms, and forcing very masculine transgender men into women's restrooms.
I worry about the air that we breathe, the relationship between our communities and our police, and building community. I worry about making sure that people are free to be themselves and build a community where everyone is welcome, and all the GOP cares about is what is in my pants or under my skirt. They care more about what is written on a birth certificate, a piece of paper, than the person that owns that certificate.
We need to elevate the Democratic Party to show that we are above potty politics by sending a proud, hard working, compassionate transgender woman to the National Convention. I need your vote to make that happen, to show that Utah Democrats are inclusive and forward thinking, and will not tolerate targeting of any minority; to show that we are pushing ourselves up by our roots.
Send me, so that I can build connections with the leaders of the party to take more of an interest in Utah and our potential, to send a message to the GOP that we will leave no one out, and no one behind.
I am running for both Congressional District 4 and at large, so every Democratic delegate in this state will have the opportunity to vote for change.
